Black Prose

Black Prose is the podcast where Black writers talk amongst themselves. Join journalist Yolanthé Fawehinmi as she interviews some of the best and most talented Black writers of our time — from journalists and authors to screenwriters and rappers — about their come-up, lessons learnt and writing rituals.

Like many Black writers, Yolanthé knows how it feels to be overlooked despite fearlessly examining cultural stigmas, sharing intimate life details and creating remarkable literary works. It's why she created this podcast.

Yolanthé really wants Black Prose to become an evergreen archive of stories that inspire the next generation of Black writers. They just aren't celebrated enough as movers and shakers. She's excited to document the stories of people writing their way into new opportunities.
